Professor Mallik's group consists of individuals from all around the world. The group has a main interest in common, which is particle physics.


Usha Mallik Ph.D. 1978, CCNY (of CUNY). Usha is the leader of the group. Her current projects are the ATLAS experiment at the LHC, analysis of data from the BABAR experiment and the Detector R&D for the future Linear Collider.

Assistant Research Scientist
Prafulla Behera Ph. D. 2002, Utkal University,India
Prafulla worked on the BELLE experiment in the KEK laboratory in Japan. He joined the group as an assistant research investigator in the spring of 2006. He is working on BABAR and ATLAS experiments.

Postdoctoral Fellows
Ph. D. 2002, University of Hamburg, Germany.
Alexander Schreiner is a postdoctoral fellow in the group. He joined in November 2006. He is working on ATLAS.
TaeJeong Kim Ph. D. 2007, Korea University, Seoul, Korea.
TaeJeong worked on D0 experiment at Fermilab for his Ph.D. degree. He started working on Particle Flow algorithm for the detectors for future Linear Collider. He is also involved in the ATLAS experiment at CERN.

Graduate Students
Reddy Pratap began his graduate studies in the fall of 2009. He completed his degree from the University of Hyderabad in 2007.
Xuedong Chai began his graduate studies in the Fall of 2000 and is now working on a Ph.D. degree. He is responsible for all of the Drift Chamber Trigger upgrade Interface boards and related software. He is also involved in charmed baryon analysis from Babar data.
