Aaron, a native Iowan, was born in Cedar Rapids, IA and moved from Mt. Vernon to Iowa City at the age of 2. Aaron graduated from City High School in 1983 and from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Communication Studies in 1988. Aaron has many years of business experience having worked as a Production Supervisor at UTA (currently Lear Corporation), Operations Supervisor and Business Analyst at ACT, Inc., and Administrator at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics before joining the Department of Physics and Astronomy as Administrator in April 2004.
Aaron has many interests, ranging from golf, fishing, the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago Cubs, to home brewing beer and watching movies. Aaron's claim to fame was being interviewed on television by famed Cub's broadcaster, Harry Caray, in 1985.
He and his wife Sue (who works as a Registered Nurse in OB-GYN at UIHC) live in Coralville and have 2 girls, Allyson and Sydney and a Shi-Tzu, Lilly.
