Congratulations to Dr. Samuel Brensinger for winning the 2020 D.C. Spriestersbach Dissertation Prize in the Mathematical, Physical Sciences and Engineering in recognition of the excellence of his doctoral dissertation: “Projective Gauge Gravity” directed by Professor Vincent Rodgers. The winner of the Spriestersbach Dissertation Prize receives $2,500 and he were selected as the University of Iowa's nominee in the national competition for the 2020 Council of Graduate Schools/ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Award. CGS will contact the winner prior to their 60th annual meeting which is to be held in Washington DC, December 3, 2020. Winners of the national competition are invited to receive their award at the conference.
