Reclassifications
Initiated by the staff member and/or supervisor in the event that the staff person is working out of their present classification. Requires approval from supervisor, department, Dean's office, and University Human Resources, respectively. Requests for review and approval may occur at any time of the year. See Chris Stevens (214 Van Allen Hall, 5-1690) for details.

Record Retention Policy
In the Department of Physics and Astronomy, documentation for all grants and contracts must be kept for the current year plus ten additional years after the final report is submitted to the funding agency. Research
Faculty members are expected to conduct a research program and to submit proposals for external funding.

Research Scientists
Must be a part of a faculty research program; research proposals must be signed by faculty and must be supervised by a faculty member.

Room Reservations
See Heather Mineart (Room 203) for 201, 208, 254, 301, 309, 618 and 665; call Facilities Planning, 5-1243, for 70, Lecture Room I and II. Rooms 208 and 309 are not to be used for classes.
