Hazardous Materials Spills
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources requires that certain spills be reported to them within six (6) hours of occurrence/discovery. Other environmental rules and regulations also require the University of Iowa to document and report spills of hazardous chemicals, petroleum products, sewage and biological waste. Read this memo for more detailed information regarding hazardous materials spills. If you have questions regarding the University's obligations in this area, contact Drew Ives (335-3696) who oversees regulatory matters.

Health Protection Office
For information on biological, radiation, and chemical safety, visit the UI Health Protection Office web site. On-line training is also available at this site.

The University also has 749 unfurnished apartments for students. The Oakdale campus has housing for faculty visitors. More details on available housing can be found on the University's Housing and Relocation web site.

Human Resources
