There are many attractions and events that are popular with graduate students.
For example, the Iowa Arts Festival attracts people to downtown Iowa City,
just a few steps from where our department is located. |

| International students will enjoy many friends and events in Iowa City. Here, children perform a Dragon Dance for an audience of hundreds of people at the annual Chinese New Year's celebration.
