Where We Are

The University of Iowa

The University of Iowa is a major research university with more than 28,000 students. It is ranked as the 21st best public university in the country, and has 18 graduate programs ranked among the top 10 such programs. Our faculty travel the globe conducting and presenting their research. They are responsible for the University of Iowa receiving $359 million in research funding in fiscal year 2005.

Iowa City

Iowa City is a highly educated city, ranking third in the U.S. in the percentage of adults who have college degrees. It was ranked as the No. 1 small metro economy by the Milken Institute, and also ranked No. 11 by Expansion Management magazine as a metro area for companies to relocate or expand. Iowa City is a vibrant and cosmopolitan community located within easy travel distance to Chicago, Minneapolis, Kansas City, and St. Louis. Iowa City has a population of 62,220, and its neighboring city Coralville has 15,100.
