| This is the office of an astronomy graduate student in Van Allen Hall. Each graduate student is assigned an office in either Van Allen Hall or the Iowa Advanced Technology Laboratories. | In addition to offices, there are many other rooms available for graduate students to use. The control room for our telescopes in Arizona, shown here, has PCs that are often used by graduate students. | On the second floor of Van Allen Hall, we have a room full of PCs, which is popular with new graduate students. After a student has a research advisor, they will often get another computer to use in a lab or office. |
