| The Iowa Robotic Telescope, located with the Winer Observatory, near Sonoita, Arizona. This 20-inch telescope was manufactured by our own technicians in Van Allen Hall, and it is controlled remotely, via the internet, by users in Van Allen Hall or anywhere else in the world. Our undergraduates use this telescope heavily for their laboratory under the supervision of graduate student TA's, and some of our graduate students have used it also as part of their thesis projects. | Rigel Telescope, which is located near Sonoita, Arizona along with our Iowa Radio Telescope. This commercially-manufactured 15-inch telescope is used for the same purposes as the Iowa Robotic Telescope, and it is the newer of the two. | Control room in Van Allen Hall for our Iowa Robotic Telescope and our Rigel Telescope. Graduate students often use this room. |
